Naturalization Ceremony at VMHC

July 4, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Come be inspired by the Naturalization Ceremony held in the main entrance hall of the Virginia Museum of History and Culture at 10:30 am on July 4th.

In contrast to past naturalization ceremonies we’ve held at the museum, this event will be indoors. Since a federal judge is presiding over the event, all attendees must have photo identification (driver’s license/ID card)  to enter the museum and will be screened for prohibited items. In accordance with the Court’s masking requirement for indoor ceremonies, all candidates and attendees are required to wear a mask during the ceremony. Prohibited items include the following:

  • No weapons or potential weapons – (firearms, knives, sharp tools or instruments, pepper spray, ammunition, etc.)
  • No flammable/combustible materials – (lighters, aerosol cans, etc.)
  • No bags – (backpacks, purses, briefcases, etc.)
  • No food or drinks
  • No hats, except for religious purposes
